Depends on the pattern you want. One of the easiest is the mesh or snakeskin look.

Lay down a dark basecoat, then put some mesh down on the rifle. Spray over the mesh with a lighter color(s). Keep in mind if the mesh isn't directly touching the rifle, the edges or pattern will be blurred instead of distinct. A mix of both looks good.

I've known guys to use leaves for stencils as well.

Try this first on some other medium. Once prefected, hit your rifle up and most importantly, POST PICS!!!

 

Oh yeah, don't spray the barrel as it will heat up and you'll end up with a different color. One of the guys I work with brought his Surefire suppressed OBR over. His can was tan, but started turning pink.

 

I used a sea sponge and dipped it in different colors then blotted it on cardboard then on the rifle which I first painted green. Rags or plastic wrap can also be used.

 

right now i have it brown butt stock, magnifier, eotech and rails and OD lower and upper reciever but i wanted to make a pattern with it but idk what other colors i should use or what type of pattern to make

 

Give me the magnifier and ill suggest some. The work I did with the sea sponge turned out pretty well. I like the sniper veil mesh. Maybe try some out on cardboard and give yourself an idea of what works for you.

 

its an eotech gen2 mag and ok sounds good

 

I've got a write up on how I did mine. Forest paint scheme. I used bulldog adhesion promoter and its helped the krylon camo hold up well. Its posted in the gallery. Just giving you some ideas. Looking forward to what you come up with.

 

yeah u def have some good ideas i just looked at the pics of ur rifle
