I'll start. I absolutely love my Troy Battlesights that came with my Ruger SR-556C. They are made exceptionally well. I typically like the HK style over the M4. I have been eye balling the YHM QDS for the ACR because I dig the quick deployment spring loaded idea. These however look like they are not as round in the front like most HK style fronts. Almost looks like a cross bettern M4 and an HK front.

One I would like to get for my S&W M&P 15-22 MOE would be the ARMS 71. I am not liking the MBUS all that much. If the front was more of an HK style I might like it better.

I like the Troy HK style as well. The are tough, they are very low profile compared to some others and for me and my aging eyes, give me the clearest sight picture. MBUS sights are a great idea and cheaper alternative and better then not having any at all, but they don't work for me. ARMS stuff, eh, dont like the notch they cut on the rear site, messes up the sight picture for me. Have had a few pair when thats all that was available years ago, thankfully there are great alternatives now.

Bottom line, Troy's, all day every day. (for me :) )

Heard from the 2 smiths over at BM that work on the ACRs. They are not as crazy about the YHM QDS. They are not as solid as the ARMS 40L or the Troys they have tested. And on a side note they really liked the FSC556 Muzzle Break quite a bit! However they did not test the Battlecomp 1.5 which I believe might be better then the FSC556 because it doesnt have as much concussion and is only 6 decibels louder then then a stock A2 flash hider. I do wonder if the battlecomp would actually push the barrel down. The FSC556 keeps it dead on and reduces recoil as well it just comes with noise and concussion...damn it!

I thought we were talking about iron sights not comps or muzzle breaks?!?!

I agree. I like the Arms 71 sights over the MBUS. However the Gen 2 MBUS sights look to be a huge improvement over the Gen 1's.

Can you co-witness thru an eotech with the micros or are they too low?
I'm not sure. I know the original battle sights were made to co-witness, so my guess would be that it is too low. However the lower micro sights are easier to get a good cheek position.

This thread got me really looking at the Troy Micro DOA sights w/ the tritium. I think that might be my next upgrade. Would you prefer the HK style front or the straight up M4 front? Does anyone have any experience with the tritium insert sights?

Here is the Troy DOA Micro with tritium inserts

Here is the Magpul Gen 2 sights. They are smaller in size and it appears the fronts are a little nicer than the Gen 1. Still says coming soon on their website.

I like the HK Style a lot better. I like the shape for it is easier to pick up and hugs the target. I have never co-witnessed thru a diamond rear, alway been a round. One thing I did recently was handle a scar for a while. I really like those sights a lot! Extremely fast acquisition and I felt that I was consistently on target. Now I need to put some lead down range to really see how I like it. Do they make a sight setup like the SCAR for the an AR or ACR?

My favorite sights are Knights followed closely by Troy. You cannot go wrong with Troy.
