Me shooting my Bushmaster ACR in .223 with a YHM Phantom 7.62.
in the S (suppressed) setting It will not cycle the bolt back far enough to strip out the next round. About half way through the mag I changed the regulator to the U (un-suppressed) setting. The action cycled fine. It sounded the same on the U setting as it did on the S setting; the only difference I noticed was that it had more recoil.

I had the same trouble. But looking at changes BM made to the gas regulator I think it may work better for folks now.

My guess is because its a 7.62 suppressor, the bore is bigger and doesn't supply enough back presser. I have also used a YHM Phantom 5.56 and it works just fine on the suppressed setting.
Hmmmm ok, well I guess I'll just be using the 7.62 suppressor "unsuppressed" lol. Did you notice any significant difference in sound between the 7.62 and 5.56? where they both YHM? Thanks

They were both YHM cans and there wasn't a significant difference between the two.

If you're debating between the two, I would suggest the 7.62 suppressor.

Hey arcticjackal,

Would you mind throwing up a few close-ups of the YHM Flash Hiders and Cans?
I'm excited to see someone with the set-up that I've been really thinking about for awhile.

Thanks!
I will try to get some pictures up later this weekend. The suppressors are not mine but a friends. I will be going to his place to load up some 300blk ammo and I will take some pictures of his .308 can and the .223 and .308 flash hiders side by side.
When I have enough $$$$ I think I will get the 7.62 titanium Phantom, its waayyyy lighter then the SS phantom.

Wow, time flew by. I managed to get one picture and then I got sidetracked and forgot to take more.
The 5.56 flash hider is shorter then the 7.62 flash hider for a reason, so you cant attach a 5.56 suppressor on a 7.62 flash hider, but you can attach a 7.62 can on a 5.56 hider

The 5.56 flash hider is dirty and used and the 7.62 flash hider is new, never used.

On the second picture, you can see the clip holding the locking lug on there. If the locking lug ever wears out you can take it off and replace it, because of this you wouldn't want to permanently attach this to your barrel.

I have a ACR with a 7.62X39 conversation kit with a YHM Phantom 7.62 on it, the .223 barrel all so has a YHM QD mount on it as well. I use the 7.62 Phantom on both the 7.62 and the .223 barrels while the .223 not as loud with out the silencers and is still hearing safe. Air gun Wood Trigger Shotgun Gun barrel
