Hey there. Just ordered a Basic Folder and was wondering if it's worth the $60 to purchase the AAC Blackout that comes standard with the Enahanced? Are the benefits other than the reduced flash?

Thanks
Not really. It's not a muzzle break so it provides zero muzzle rise reduction. It is alttle more effective in reducing muzzle flash compared to the A2 birdcage. But it also produces a metal "ping" noise when you fire due to the open front design, (acts like a tuning fork)

Honestly, I replaced it before I made it to the range with my ACR for the first time. I can say it has a very soft recoil/rise though (less than my LWRC M6's with standard A2 FH's), but I don't know how much of that is ACR and how much is YHM...

Are you happy with / did you notice a large change with it in relation to muzzle rise performance ?
Aside from how cool it looks ? :)

AAC's break/hider is $100, seems like better money spent on the YHM for the same results.
YMMV, but the AAC BRAKEOUT has a top port specifically designed to combat muzzle rise, and the "flash hider" end actually cuts down flash much better than most comps. PLUS, you can mount a can on it.

i have both products. the YHM is on my black ACR and the AAC Blackout on my Tan ad to be honest i like my AAC more. to be honest it all comes down to what you like. as for my matter of opinion i have video of myself firing my ACR in pitch black desert 3 shots 2 cant be seen and 1 catches a little bit of flash.as for break i really cant tell the difference between the 2 it feels so equal to me being as the rifle is heavy enough. the other + for my AAC is i can switch my can from my SBR onto MY ACR at any time

Im gonna hijack this thread for a sec and ask what is the Muzzle Brake thread ratio or whatever lol
its standard ar15 threads, 1/2"-28

So the stock FH on the ACR enhanced accepts a can?
some suppressors might mount up to it if they mount up to a standard a2 flash hider, i'm not sure if any of the suppressors mount up to the aac blackout (non mount)
the very first thing i did to both of my acr's was an aac 51t mount

A Gemtech Halo mounts on an unmodified M16A1 or A2 flashider. I like that because the flashider costs about $10. I run that setup on an AR, and it's awesome.

If you don't want to run the gucci muzzle attachement, there is an alternative.
