I can't wait for the Kel Tec Eyepro!

The guy was funny, and I'm very impressed at how quickly Kel Tec addressed the issues people had from SHOT (less than 2 months ago!!!) I believe I will have to purchase one now.

I really liked seeing how quickly one can switch over to the second tube as well. From previous vids, (I guess from those unaccustomed to the platform) it looked as though the support hand had to come off to swith tubes. This guy did it in less than a second with his master grip/firing hand.

Diddo! While I was watching the video, I was thinking "How can I make that work for goose hunting". I hope they make a longer barrel. I know that's not it's general purpose but the dual chambers would help with bird hunting. Also, can it do 3-1/2's? Usually all pumps can.

I didn't think this would be too appealing to me, but consider LE applications. There's always a choice as to how to load my shotgun. 00 buck, slugs, or less lethal? One method with an 870 is to stagger or use a buttstock shell carrier (which is my preference).

With this system, though, you could load lethal on one tube and less lethal on another. As long as the feed system is solid and reliable, you could simply flick the switch as you need it.

One thing I would be scared of in that scenario is I would accidently flick to the lethal side when I want less lethal. I guess as long as you always have less lethal selected and only switch to lethal when you need it.

Okay, I definitely see the potential for disaster. Re-thinking, although it would not be quite as fast of a transition, but I'd look more for a Saiga 12 with different magazines for better reliability. I still think it may be workable in the field depending on how the selector works, but I could definitely see the concern in the courtroom if disaster struck.

...i don't know...if a guy is getting nasty or non-compliant, pepper spray him or taze 'em... if you're going to make an entry into a dangerous crack house a shotgun isn't really too target discriminating...and your probably not going to have rubber bullets in your mags...if your working crowd control, i don't think it would be a good idea to have one tube filled with buck-shot and the other with less lethal ammo....you wouldn't load-out like a swat entry team to control a crowd of black friday crazies...it would be like having pepper spray mounted to the bottom of your handgun...and in court this scenario would be treated as a lethal shotgun pointed at you...and you would be justified in using lethal force against the (rubber bullet loaded) shotgun wielder if he pointed it at you intending to fire...not a good combo IMO....

Good points. All I'm saying is that any time you load out with less lethal whether on an entry team or with a taser in the street, training dictates that you have lethal cover. I just think that it's a neat concept to have both in one platform, even if it doesn't work in reality. Good idea, but poor application.

New concept!--- bean bag tube and a rubber pellet/ball tube. strictly less lethal...but with options.

Kel-tec Shotgun

I had the opportunity to handle this thing at SHOT SHOW back in January. It felt great and compact but it also felt like it was built like a tank. When I first heard about this concept shotgun that could switch between loads with the flick of a switch, I made it a priority of the show to see it. I agree with Tackleberry that it'll make a diverse way for LE to carry both lethal and non-lethal rounds (possible accidents aside), but if the operator were to carry Buck in one tube and Slugs in the other, it would cut shell transfer for distance regulation a breeze. All the days of half racking, shell-tossing, plunger pushing are gone! :D.....not to say one shouldn't practice these skills.
