I'm considering buying an ACR and I'm in the research stage of buying one. Then a strange question popped into my head.

How stable is that trunnion?
Has anybody heard of it coming loose?
Is it held in by 4 screws?

And also, will my barrel change POI(assuming it's torqued correctly) if it gets bumped around a little? When I say "bumped around" I mean the occasional hard bump on a shooting bench, bump a tree stump while hunting, or maybe a fall from a shooting bench.

I'm not particularly worried about it, but I am curious.
Any information is greatly appreciated. :)

Most guys here report very little shifts in point of impact after countless times of removing the barrel. That is only held on with a collar and handle held in place by a button and its torque is basically hand tight and good to go. You'll have more replies here soon from the rest of the forum. Welcome. You joined a great place to learn. Its a great solid rifle. Sorry I could only answer part of your question to the best of my understanding.

I can tell you that I keep mine in my trunk. I work in the county and I have to ride (sometimes very quickly) on shitty bumpy roads. The rifle just rides in a sturdy nylon case. I haven't noticed any POI shift between range days.
