Just bought my second ACR enhanced today (from budsgunshop... phenomenal people, amazing service and prices, i might add.... shipping as little slow... took 11 buisness days to get it, but worth the wait).

Unlike my primary ACR, I want to do somehting to this barrel. Matter of fact, I'm tired of the 2 inches of exposed barrel and gas system that the enhanced rail handguards reveals. I know they cut it back for weight... but i dunno, just not my thing.

Now. I want a shorter barrel. 14.5' or 12'. How do I go about doing this, what's it cost, and whats the best methods? what should I being paying attention to?

Any advice is good advice to me.

First thing is double check your state allows SBR's.

Legal BS aside, if you want 10.5" then I'd get hold of an AR barrel sans gas port and start from there. Bigdog on here did his rifle with a short barrel. You'll need to chop and profile the piston and then fit for the gas block and piston guide.
