Trigger Air gun Gun barrel Machine gun Gas

Aircraft Wood Airplane Aviation Vehicle

Wood Flooring Hardwood Plank Gun barrel

This is my first post but, I thought I would throw mine in the mix. Hopefully you can see the pics.

Here she is:
  • Bushmaster ACR - Started life out as a basic. Upgraded to the folding stock and quad rail forend.
  • AAC Brakeout - Great muzzle control. Sound suppressor ready and louder than you-know-what...
  • Magpul PMAG - of course. Waiting for the new Surefire mags to hit the market...
  • Magpul XTM and Ladder Panels
  • Magpul AFG
  • Magpul RSA - I run a VTAC sling rigged to work as a single point or a two point.
  • Troy BUIS - much better than the MBUS the ACR came with...
  • Surefire X300
  • Aimpoint T-1 Micro on a Larue Angled CQB Mount. Normaly I run my T-1 with an Aimpoint 3x magnifier in a Larue flip to side mount but I am trying the CQB for a bit.
  • Trijicon Acog TA55 5.5x50 - Really clear glass. A little excessive for this gun, but hey, why not? (Unfortunatly, this Acog will have to leave the collection to fund other projects. $1400 if anyone is interested.)

I got the acr to keep a light rifle. They get heavy fast. My dpms bull 20 is about as heavy as I can get it without optics on it with a rail prs stock palm rest pistol grip and bipod but real nice setups you have. Does the enhanced stock keep them balanced more? My fixed stock makes the front seem heavier.

I wouldn't say the ACR is a light rifle especially when compared to some AR's I have owned. A Daniel Defense M4 V1 comes to mind. Even my piston ARs feel lighter (LWRC and LMT MRP). Most of this is due to the ACR being a bit too nose heavy. One of these days I will get the barrel chopped and pinned by ADCO or Spikes so the gun points better and is not so nose heavy. I can't say I notice a difference with the balance between the enhanced stock and the basic; however I can get a longer length of pull with the enhanced stock, which is why I run it most.

I was looking into getting an enhanced stock to make state compliant. I found the anti folding pin and making it non collapsing wouldn't be too tricky. I prefer a bit longer length of pull but would like to switch I think it will give me a little more room to work with rather than using a different recoil pad. Just got to check my laws if it can't collapse below 26 inches or can't collapse at all. Ny is iffy.
