After trying every combination of light / mount for my second ACR (soon to be a 10.5" 5.56 / 11.5" 300BLK) I decided to work up a better solution. A few loose measurements, some drilling, and two screws later I came up with this. I mounted the light directly to the starboard forward rail. It pulled the light in tighter. It also allowed me to use a SR07 tape switch at 12 o'clock.

This will only work with the enhanced handguard. It solves a lot of problems for me and saves a little weight. You could also mount it on the port side with a push button tailcap.

The good thing about this mod is that it is simple and quick. I coated the bare aluminum with gunkote and loctited the screws (6-32 by the way).

It also allowed me to move the AFG forward two slots and get my thumb on the top rail.

Socket heads dont interfere at all. When I go to a carbine length 10.5" barrel I will have to get lower profile screws as otherwise they would contact the gas block.

I custom made the mount for the 620V. There are ATPIALS around for sale now and then. Just make sure you don't buy a stolen unit. The other problem is no warranty, support, or service.

The training that comes with it. The IR LASER is NOT eye safe. If you left it on without the filter, you could potentially burn somebody's retina causing blindness.I know we actually had to read and sign a paper confirming we knew the risks of using them.

Besides, if you don't have NVD's, what's the point? Just go with a Lasermax and save yourself the money.

I did not know any of that, thanks for the info. thats crazy. I definitely dont have night vision. I also dont really have a use for a laser. but I have never heard of lasermax i will check it out
