I read in an article in a gun magazine ( i can't find it right now. must be in truck still) that Remington will have alluminum lowers for the ACR. Why can't we have those too? I do not like that. I did a search for this but found nothing so I made a new thread.

So far based on the Remmy site the AL lower is an option. Their rifles still have the standard polymer lowers too. Remmy has milled out maybe a couple of them for pics and marketing but I think that's about as far as that has gone.

I'm indifferent about the AL lower. The polymer seems to work fine. The AL lower won't take the full MIAD grip I like as it stands wight now. Magpul might have a plan otherwise for that yet. But, if it does get released I might consider it but I'm guessing the price will be over a couple bills minimum.

I agree about the price. I think I would like an AL lower as an accessory. I hope become available along with the barrels. Although it is not important I like the look of the bayonet lug on the Rem version.

Though I have never bayoneted anyone, I would like that option too. I also think the BM enhaced handguard is not comfortable and is too heavy. The Remington military handguard looks lighter, I don't know that it really is, but it looks sleeker and more comfortable. I would love to have a crack at these items too.

Like the alternate gas regulator, if they were availible, I would probably pick one up eventually, but not a must have. Now a 300aac or 6.8 barrel, yea, I would buy that tomorrow!!
