I have both. I have not weighed them but I'm pretty confident that the Midwest hand guards are lighter. They're good quality and work well. However I prefer the new style Remington hand guards, purely for aesthetic reasons. I just think they look nicer.

Thanks for the input horseman04. I'll probably pick one up for the pistol one day. I think they look really good on the 10.5" barrels. Wish Bushmaster made a 12.5" barrel so I can rock the standard handguard on the pistol. I like the G36'ish look.

Wondering what everyone's take is on the MI M-LOK handguard vs the factory M-LOK or Squaredrop handguards. I like the look of the MI handguard on REarmory's pistol setup, but the handguard looks slightly bulkier than factory one. Anyone ever work with both and know what the weight difference is and have any preference?

Thanks for the input horseman04. I was able to pick one up on DVOR for 148 before s/h. I weighed all 3 handguards and it looks like the MOE one is 9.2oz, BM Square Drop is 7.9oz, and MI 9.375" came in at 6.3oz. I really like the way it turned out. I ended up throwing my BM Square Drop on my full size with 14.5" pin and welded barrel.
