Is the ACR receiver anodized or painted, Can't really tell when I look inside mine looks like raw aluminum and there is a big long turd of what looks to be dried paint running down the inside. which led me to believe it was painted. I'm thinking about sending it out for a Magpul FDE cerakote job.

It looks like they did a clear anodize and then painted over it. On mine (coyote) you can see inside the upper where it wasn't sprayed too. When I did the NFA engraving it chipped and fussed like paint.

I don't know what the black ones have? The ACR prototypes were in the traditional Bushmaster purple anodized finish but the new ones look like a coating to me as well.

Hmmmm, that might explain the dings on the front of my ejection port that looks its down to bare aluminum. Nothing real bad, but they are there.
