I will be getting mine in clear until the price comes down. What the hell were they thinking? Sure they spent a fortune in marketing and R&D, but if you jack the price up too high (as it currently is) then you will never recoup those costs. Lower the price point and sell more volume, thereby making it more popular and recouping your costs more quickly.
Personally, I think the price point is set where it is because they want a military contract and they can rape the military financially while still touting it is cheaper than the SCAR and perhaps even reduce the Gov price point. Screw the populace.

I'm thinking FDE. Unless they decide to start making them in that cool greenish gray color.

+1, If I can get it for about $1800 or AT LEAST a hundred bucks cheaper than a SCAR then I MIGHT get one in black.

I am going to buy one basic config in black, already in route. Then I'll buy a enhanced version in flat dark earth. I will have to liquidate some of my other toys in the safe, but this rifle is worth it. ;D I also heard they will offer this rifle in the new A-TACS camo pattern. THAT WILL ROCK.

OK so I have the coyote brown for about 2 weeks and and haven't even fired is yet and because of my carelessness I already made some scratches on the upper assembly. I'm starting to regret that I got this color but does anyone have any recommendations on a good "touch up" paint or pen marker?

I think it looks great. I'd rather do multicam like ACRFan stated above but since ATACS is part of your big family I can see where that would be the preference.
If you have the time and gumption I think it might be a good idea to throw up a pic or two of the ATACS furniture on a regular coyote and black ACR for those folks that have already bought one. It might be something neat to add on later, presuming they will be listed as an aftermarket accessory.
