Hey everyone.
So lately when going to the local gun stores the POF rifles keep being talked about by the gun guys saying they are the best ar's and such. Now i personally havent shot one i've only fondled one and they seem nice but for 2K+ they should be right? I've been looking at them on their website and of course POF is saying they're the best thing since sliced bread but has anyone had any good or bad experience with these rifles?

I read an article a while back and they talked about how the company came to be in the arms business. The owner was a mechanical engineer who saw the design and decided to improve it. I've handled a couple in the shop but not on the range. For my money, they seem to be well made, but with one glaring drawback. Weight. Both the 5.56 and the .308 version that I handled seemed well machined but as heavy or heavier than my ACR. Now all that without the innovative design features of the ACR make it a looser in my book. But to each his own.

Dubious reliability,
I've heard the same as i've researched more. But wasnt reliability their claim to fame?
I personally will stick to the ACR for the price. And yes i can think of at least a dozen or more rifles i'd own myself.

I have never seen one. According to other fora reports, it's a 50/50 crap shoot. Personally, I like my AR's as DI guns and use pistons in guns designed for it from the ground up.

I have owned 3 POf 556 and i can tell you they ar the best AR platform I have ever shot!! get on their website and read all the reviews on this company they are outstanding!! they are on the heavy side but thats because they use such a heavy barrel. one real big up side is they need no lub at all!! that is a big plus in a sandy dusty environment. pof has AR rifles that have seen over 100,000 rounds with no replacement parts. they run these guns on full auto putting 10,000 rounds through it with non stop reloading and the guns just eat it up with no problems!!! get on their website and read the reviews the magazine companies military and law enforcement agencies have done on them you will be impressed.
