I'd like to hear folks opinions regarding their favorite BUIS for their ACR

Does anyone have any experience with Troy's micro BUIS tritium. I'm curious if Troy used tritium inserts that can be replaced.

There is nothing wrong with Troy micros. I went with the regular height Troy's because I like an absolute co-witness. The Troy micros will only give you a lower 1/3 with the most popular optics mounts. Either will work, it's just a personal preference.

I emailed Larue today and they said the Troy Micros would absolute co-witness with their LT660HK mount for the Aimpoint Micro T-1. I hope that's correct.

Same set up I use too.

As for the tritium, don't know. But that stuff lasts for better than a decade and if it needs replaced then it wouldn't be much trouble to buy a new post and aperture.

Also, in case anyone is curious. I'm sure I didn't see this when I looked at troy's sights recently, but they do offer replacement tritium or you can upgrade your existing troy sights.

+1 on the standard height Troys. Consider the DOA setup. I haven't tried them (maybe some here has some feedback), but they look good. They basically incorporate a diamond shape in the rear with lines for indexing. It seems logical that the corners of the diamond would make for better indexing points by which to center the front post.

I have the DOA version and regular. I shoot a lot better with the regular. I guess it has something to do with the way my eye adjusts to the diamond. I do think that the DOA might be better at long distances due to the secondary aperture but my range is only 100yards so I can't say for certain. I would recommend the regular.

Do you have an XPS or a standard height EOtech? I was considering getting some micros, but I would prefer absolute (dead center) co-witness.

Absolutely. My EXPS makes 1/3 co/witness since it sits higher than the XPS.

Knights Armament micros with 600m rear... also a 1/3 co-witness but absolutely satisfied with their performance and quality.
