Back in February 2010, I was one of the first to place an order through Troy Industries. I ordered 4 at $15 each in FDE. So in July, I still had not heard anything as to the status of the magazines and their ship date. I was told they are still in the manufacturing process, whatever that means. So I called again today, 10 months past the original order date, to get a status and update my shipping and billing address as I have sold, and built a new house during this time.
I was told that the magazines have been sent back to engineering. So that tells me that they have found a flaw or two and need to improve it or redesign it. The sad part is that they have been working on this magazine for so long now, I am beginning to think it is vaporware.
Troy makes good products, but I feel as though the Battle Mag may have passed its time to break into the magazine market. When the pmags were scarce and overpriced to to supply/demand. Now that pmags are found just about everywhere, I would be curious as to the impact in the market the battle mags would have. I cannot see anyone replacing their stock pile of pmags with battle mags.
