Dude! Very nice! I am looking for a 308 battle rifle and I'm considering the 17.

ETA: Could you give us the weight of the 17 as shown with a fully loaded mag?

I estimate it at 10.5 lbs loaded up but I will get an actual weight when I get the time. I need to try and break away from work to get some range time with it still.

That's a nice set up! As far as a big brother goes, I went with the hk91 platform in the form of a MSG 91 and love it! However the SCAR is an excellent rifle too, with both better ergonomics and probably weight- my PTR is pushin' 13 to 14 lbs loaded. It doesn't bother me too much though.

So what ammo does like or hate? American eagle? Steel case? Surplus?
