The MP5 is still the gold standards as far as I am concerned, but at least the sub-machine gun is still kicking.

The gun is chambered in 9x19mm NATO. It features a 12" barrel and has a total length of 25". It weights 6.28 lbs (including magazine). I am guessing that the magazine pictured is Beretta's 30 round magazine. I could be wrong, but it looks to me like the barrel is threaded for a suppressor and a thread protector has been screwed on.

No thanks. I have a friend in Maryland Swat and he said they dropped all pistol caliber carbines just because it doesn't have the stopping power. To be honest, I don't mean to be a broken record but that's where 300 BLK would shine. CQB carbine and short barrel.

Plus, Beretta's plastic "tactical" guns just don't do it for me. I'd gladly take their shotguns though.

We have a few .40 cal Beretta CX4's at my agency. They worked well when they worked, but we have had a few with problems. Among them were insanely stiff mag and bolt release controls. The magazine may actually seat better with a 30rd mag, but the standard 92/96 or PX4 mags are too short to seat well. The base plate recesses into the mag well, so it takes some extra manipulation to seat it properly.

I love plastic/polymer guns in a lot of ways, but Beretta doesn't seem to get it right like Glocks or Magpul.
