Hi all just wanted to say hi. I bought the ACR so I can fire it with my suppressor without gas in my face and have a dedicated piston system. It's a nice system. Well I've been a ACR owner for 2 weeks and decided to do a little painting. I'm debating whether or not to paint the entire rifle. What do you guys think? I tried posting this in the Gallery but I guess I did it wrong.

I'm not concerned about durability. Back in the day when I was in the USMC we had plenty of boring hours in the sandbox. I saw the motor T guys painting the Hummers and LAV's and helped out and took some paint from them. On our rifles we painted all kinds of wierd/creative camo. I personally, prefer the look of a worn out look on my M4 and only used paint to cover up the shiny metal worn spots. I would spray a dab of whatever color available to cover up the spot but one day I sprayed too much and tried removing some with a rag and after dabbing it with a rag it ended up with this design. After doing this multiple times with different colors I came up with this! The paint colors I used where all 4 camo paint cans that Walmart offered. I varied from a torn up rag to a ripped up sponge. Lightly dab/paint with it and surprisingly enough it looks like camo. Whats great about this method, if you screw up or add too much of a certain color just repeat the process with a different color. Of course, I had to add pictures
