Currently sitting without an optic as I try and decide what I want to do with it. Thinking I want to gt the barrel reprofiled and add a T1 plus a set of troy micros to replace those MBUS. . . .

Hey Krazny, very nice weapon.

I'm a fan of the Acog but definetly aware of the issue in weight so the T-1 is a great alternative.
The Troy BIUS seem to be the favorite around here, the difference in quality are night and day.
As for the barrel work, I've have my barrel system worked on by ADCO and can't say enough about their excellent work and customer service.

Side query: Do you still have the ACOG? How did you like it on the ACR? I've been looking for a deal on one to see how I like it.

I sold the ACOG. Just didnt have anything it really 'fit' role wise on.
They are awesome scopes. Clear, huge FOV, hard to beat for a magnified combat optic. Keep in mind that they ARE a combat optic, and you'll love them.

Replaced the Trigger with an SSA. Stock trigger was craptacular.

Any good places have a set of the troy micros in stock? Preferably black.
Will probably send the barrel off to ADCO sometime soon. Still debating if I want to get a barrel made or not. . . .

I'm confused by your usage of the term "minimalist". There's no doubt you have some nice (pricey) kit, but I was under the impression that a minimalist ACR might have an RDS and BUIS only. No railed fore-end, no light, no VFG. Just a gun and sights and maybe the red dot.

Maybe I'm talking out of my ass.
