Hi, I just found you forum while I was searching for news on the ACR. I'm glad see that there is a site dedicated to ACR. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on one some time soon so I can contribute.

Welcome. I think it is fair to say that we all hope to get our hands on an ACR sooner rather than later. Fee free to post and discuss the ACR even though you don't have one yet.

Hi mike_f,

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us in our never ending quest to discover the ACR rifle. Though none of us have one yet, we can still learn and explore what we do no know already of the ACR like it's features and what we can see in the various videos posted in the gallery of the ACR in action.

Checkin in.

My name is Evan Williams, if you know what that is you might find that funny, if not http://www.evanwilliams.com/. No I was not named after or conceived because of it. People call me Tucker (middle name). I'm a country boy, always hav been and always will be. I am currently waiting to ship to Paris Island to get my chance to earn the title, I am pumped as hell.

I've been shooting since I was about 7, first heard about the ACR when it was the Masada back in December '07 from G&A. If I don't have $1500 to cough up when it comes out I'll be parting with a few other guns to get it in black, 5.45x39 or .223.

Hi Hundred Proof. Welcome and thanks for your service. Hoorah, Semper Fi Marine. Go out there and make us all proud. You will enjoy being a MArine. It may be hard work but there is just something about the bonds you will make and the once a Marine, always a Marine. No matter where you are, if you meet another Marine, you will always have that connection.

If you don't know what I am talking about, you will. I wasn't a Marine, but the Navy is the same way. Actually all branches are.

Thanks ACRfan, but easy, I ain't earned the title yet. That day will come but until then I am not worthy of the words "Marine" or "Semper Fi". Still, I greatly appreciate it. BTW my father was in the Navy, Lieutenant, supply corps aboard CVN-72, the Abe Lincoln from 1989-1991 (he was put on reserve early, not exactly sure how that works).

I will be incommunicado from February to May as I will be in boot so I kind of want to get my self settled in and get to know everyone on here before I go, that way I'm not a stranger when I get back. Good news is that around August or September I will have all that active duty pay in my pocket from 6 months of training... I am drooling :p at the thought... ACR and a new 1911 anyone 8)?

Oh yeah, BTW it's Hunerd... the misspelling is intentional. Might have a 1340 SAT and a 97 ASVAB but that doesn't mean I have to talk like a yankee ;). Just kidding, no offense to yall boys from up North, anyone (well almost anyone) who shoots is a friend of mine.
