Has anyone tried placing their Bolt and Firing Pin in the Magpul Carrier in the grip? Granted they differ in size, but if it were modded, it would make a great choice over (2) battery compartments.

It's for an AR15, but i wouldn't be surprised if the sizing is right.

Was that the same thing that'll fit into he acr grip? Im not confident putting anything in mine. It doesn't stay in well. That looks cool though. Didnt know they made that. I can't remember but was he diameter of the ar firing pin different than the acr one?

Yes it goes into the grip of the ACR and any Magpul Pistol grip compartment.

I just picked one up and will try fitting it tonight to see how it works.

i keep a extra firing pin in my handgrip, along with an allen wrench and extra set screws for my gas block, iirc the magpul ones work with the acr, just dont have any in coyote yet

Yup looks like it fits.

But because the ACR Firing Pins is slightly taller than the AR15 Pin one should modify the carrier to "sink" the ACR Pin a bit. Otherwise the carrier won't fully lock into the grip.

Nice. Does it secure better than the one that was in there originally? Mine and I think a few other members have hadones that are a bit loose. I think one guy said his fell out while shooting. Not something I want happening win a bolt and pin. Looks good though thanks for the pics!

This was happening on my acr. It was easy to fix. I just heated the tab on the insert with a lighter, pull the tab out futher and let it cool. It hasn't dropped in months. I don't expect it will.

I actually don't think a black one would that out of place on a Coyote ACR given the rest of the black bits (buttstock pad, brass deflector, barrel, trigger, etc). I should see if the local shop has any. I still would like to see a full range of accessories from Magpul in Coyote, though.

i don't think its a big issue in terms of color. its not an easily seen part and there are other things on the rifle that are black

just for everyones info if you do replace your battery handle carrier with a bolt & fpin carrier and you have the adjustable/folding stock it has a battery compartment in it as well. it holds two 123a battery perfectly.

sorry if someone already posted an answer but im pretty sure i saw a guy review his Bushmaster ACR on youtube with this on his...ill search for it...
