Let me preface by saying, my SN# BL040xx with the rounded gas regulator and titanium firing pin, YHM Phantom Muzzle Brake.
so yesterday was my first time using my acr, i've used ar15's before but never owned a rifle. i paired it up with a Trijicon TA31RCO-M4CP and shot a few 10 round mags to see where it landed on paper. the first 30 or so rounds were American Eagle Value Pack .223 55gr. Flawless, no FTF, no FTE.
the POI was slightly low, but with good grouping. keep in mind as well, that i was standing and using a bipod. i think if i sat down and used the same set up, groupings would be tighter. so next off, i threw in American Tactical 5.56 62gr rounds, made in Turkey. i shot about 20 rounds or so and again, no FTF or FTE. over all, both rounds performed without issues.
im pleased with the day, shot around 70 rounds in the ACR without any issues. I took it home and opened it up, cleaned out the gun, looking for where the most carbon build up was, and it was mostly on the gas regulator. lubed it back up and now ready for another adventure... when, idk. it's going to have to be outdoor and at least 100yrds for me to consistently see it's grouping.
had a fun time shooting the ACR along with my Sig P229R. check out the vid, sorry the camera tries to auto focus and it doesn't know what to focus on so it appears to pulsate, gave me a headache watching it
