Gun laws are goofy.

Do they just use a spacer in the mag to block it to 15, or some other method?

The limit for rifle mags in NJ is 15 rounds. Riflegear has made 15 round PMAGs using 20 round bodys that are specific for NJ and are NJ legal. The only drawback is the bottom plate is not removeable.
I rather take my changes ...buy the 20 rounders where I can take them apart and put a wooded block to make them legal...and Yes! NJ is the stupidest state for gun laws.

Shooting wise, it is too bad you live in New Jersey...Please come join the other free states!
Good Shooting, where ever you live...
From the, kind of, free state of Colorado!
This is one of the many reasons why I got the ACR, so the day I may possibly land in maybe TX, you see a welded izzy 16" .223 ACR barrel for sale on GunBroker...probably won't sell though. It will make a nice club

I guess if you kill only 15 people with one magazine, then it is okay? I mean that 16th is a tragedy, right?

Yeah in ny I can't even get the 15. I hope I can get the ten. I have seen pinned 20 rounder mags here so I hope this would be legal also. Its all just odd since a 20 or 30 round mag made before 1994 I can have. I don't even use them. It'd just like owning a piece of history I suppose.y

Cool I saw those I just think I remember saying something along the lines of it not making them complient. Not sure though. Like mentioned I could permanently seal them but whether or not that's considered state compliant I do not know. I've seen the pinned mags and the prebans but I don't know about the risk of that unless I can find the law on it. I think its a pretty serious crime to have non compliant mags. Deffinatly worth looking into. I take it the pmags are quite nice from everyone that owns them?

The Pmag is a fantastic magazine. Reliable, cost effective, and even modular. I run Ranger plates on all my mags so when I thrash them it helps with their durabillity. Before them I was using primarily the H&K mags ($40 used/ $60 new).

There are a few good videos on youtube showing how durable they are. Granted there has been a few bad batches released that were troublesome, but were quickly resolved with Magpul's customer service.

I wrote the company that the gentleman who started the thread dot his from and they couldn't tell me if hey are Nys compliant but they are nj compliant and they are sealed up. I will just have to look into the law on them. I would really like a few of them.

Not bad. I'm using 10/30's out here in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. It is my intention to get a couple coyote brown "rebuild kits" and leave them that way. I may eventually replace some of my pre-ban USGI 30-rounders, though will never be able to use them in my ACR as long as the "assault weapon" ban remains out here, though, unless I go out of state for shooting, of course... ;)

I just got my limited 10 rounder in the mail. I love it already. Its pretty short but I think it was a 30 rounder and it fits like a glove. Ill be getting more in time. I think the law here in ny for post ban mags is 10 rounds but I wasn't sure so that's what I got to be safe. It is pinned through the ranger plate plus epoxy was added I believe. Gotta love it. Its a great quality mag. I reccomend them thoug it seems that alot of the members here aren't constricted in that area.

I think its 5 rounds here for hunting but not sure. That does seem like a backwards law. They do make stubby 5 round pmags that are cut down. My supplied 5 rounder is just a bit short for changing rapidly. Plus it doesn't drop free.

Even here in Florida it's limited to 5 round in a center fire rifle if you are hunting in a state management area.
