Corporate devils would make their mothers whores for a fraction of a penny.

If a company wants to sell Chinese goods, that's fine. That's a free market, whatever. But don't lie. WTF?! Passing Chinese shit off as American is low. You have to be outright scum of the earth to even try it.

http://soldiersystems.net/2011/06/27/oops-home-depot-accused-of-violating-buy-american-act/

According to a recent Associated Press story on the subject, “In the last six years, Staples Inc., Office Depot Inc. and OfficeMax Inc. have paid a combined $22 million to settle government claims they violated the act. In 2008, the Department of Justice announced that W.W. Grainger Inc. agreed to pay $6 million to settle claims the company overcharged the government and provided it with Chinese and Taiwanese products in violation of the Buy American Act.”

Not defending them (the law is the law), but it would probably be a little easier to buy American if we had not chased all the industry in this country out via the EPA and big union...

Just sayin'...

Greed chased more jobs out of America then the EPA.

Also, people can bitch about the EPA all they want but I'd rather have the EPA and be able to walk outside and take a deep breath without needing a mask like our regulation-free Chinese friends. Ask yourself, do you really trust these corporate devils, because I sure as hell don't. They'll build power lines over your kids crib and dump radiation in your yard if they think it will make them a buck.

While I get what you're saying VB, having been to a lot of other countries (some of which resemble your lower pic [can't see the upper one for some reason]), we are far, far from that and have been for nearly a hundred years in 99% of this country. I'm not disputing the need for an EPA either, just the abuse of it. We have made it nearly impossible to have any (remotely profitable) heavy industry, any new nuke plants (despite an impending energy shortage and the fact that it is actually one of the cleanest energy sources on the planet), any new oil wells or refineries (despite the obvious need to come down off our middle east addictions), or most anything else that might actually help bail us out of our economic crisis and actually support a better future. We want all the benefits of modern technology but don't want even the most miniscule byproducts of it in our back yards, so it all ends up in China, India or elsewhere. And soon we will suffer for it.

And as for the corporate devils, do you really trust the mass media (huge corporate devils themselves) feeding us all the alarmist horror stories to keep their ratings up and push forward their agendas? We cannot have growth and progress when we demonize every corporation that makes it big (apparently by creating/selling things people need/want) and every successful individual (usually because of their own toil and sweat). Something has to give. And many of them have already left (or at least their assets have). And that's well and good until we need what they have and now have to pay a lot more for it.

They still wear the masks here. Even on the clearest of clear days while driving in their cars. I am currently in Los Angeles.
