Its been atleast 2 months since i ordered by black tri rail and still no word. I called BM today to find out that they are "past due" on backorder and he had " no idea" when they were going to be available... has anyone else had any luck finding out when the handgaurds will come in?

Thats what I did. I bought six. Its a little off color, but it matches my TangoDown foregrip and my laser housing so its all good.
Hmm... I was thinking of ordering a basic tan handguard, but so much for that I guess... I will just keep my money till NRA Annual. Maybe I can bug the BFI guys and ask wheres the Adaptive part of Adaptive Combat Rifle.

man speaking of tri rails...i just got my acr back after 2 months of waiting for the recall fix and i opened it up today, flipped it over and it looks like they took a dremel to the rail...a nasty scratch 6 inches long...damn...i guess bushmaster knew i was going to sell it for an ak...hahaha...but now i'd have to knock off a couple hundred because of the scratch...i was thinking about calling them but i don't want to wait a year...to tell you the truth i think i expected that it would come back messed up...to hell with'em...

yea i agreed with you bigdog back in the day...then i let my woman shoot and i thought i wonder if she can control the acr if it went fullauto...hahaa probably not...so i sent it in against my better judgment....as far as selling it...yea i am thinking about it, problem is all the junk i got for it: aimpoint m4s and 3x magnifier to kydex 5.56 mag pouches, etc...makes it a little hard if i want an ak...waiting for chaos to make a rail for regular ak's not just the saiga 12...the rail makes it look like an acr, which is funny...to each his own i guess...just don't think i'm the new-age-rifle-send it to bushmaster 50 times-what's gonna break now-corporate sympathizing-400$ trigger buying-gun collecting-adaptive barrel waiting kind of guy....

I placed my coyote hg order March 10th, called on April 7th and was told "2-3 weeks". Mind you had no replies to emails and couldn't even get a hold of CS via phone up to this point (I have a life and cant remember to call them every freaking day).
There was a poster on ar15 that had some interesting info - a CS rep told him they were expecting an order of polymer parts to come in from magpul **this** week. So maybe that was the "backorder" they were alluding to...

BM has been feeding me BS for a month. I called Magpul two days ago and they are on backorder (WTF?). I thought Magpul made the parts?? So then I called BM and (gasp) they can't even give me an ETA just gave the backorder line again. So if BM and Magpul are "backorded" who is making the parts??? This is crazy.

I ordered some small parts from BM a couple months ago and threw in a coyote PMag. Just got the PMag last week and figured they had run through their initial order so they had to wait for Magpul to crank out some more. Well, the mold date is the same as the others I have so that most likely means they're still tore up from the floor up with the factory shut down.
Frustrating for sure.
