I'm new to the ACR and piston rifles. I'm not quite sure how to disassemble the regulator plunger...the manual says to "depress" the regualtor plunger and rotate until it's facing the barrel. The piston talks about these parts that not clearly identified. Another is "gas block"? Sorry to ask these noob questions...Thanks

Kinda hard to descripe without pictures:

The regulator plunger is the springloaded piece on the side of the regulator. You depress it change the setting from "U" to "S" by rotating the regulator or to disassemble. The plunger has to be down towards the barrel (inbetween the "U" or "S") to allow disassembly, (pull out the regulator)

The gas block is that thing that stradles the barrel infront of the handguard. The regulator is in the gas block.

Page25 of the online ACR manual is the only online reference I can find descriping the operation.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the reply. I found a YouTube video and the guy showed the plunger. I don't know how I missed it! Didn't see it in manual. Anyway, I field stripped it and I just keep being amazed at the genius of the design...I wasn't fast, but it really is simple and easy. I was also how clean everything was! The only dirty part, if that, was the piston and gas plug. I have about 100-150 rounds through the gun.

Mission accomplished :)

Glad you got where you needed to go, as you can see, it's a simple design really.
