I have an enhanced model, black. I was thinking about putting some FDE or ODG rail covers on it. I want to break up the solid black color (black doesn't blend well and turns into a target indicator). Not to mention just to give the rifle a little character. I was almost thinking about painting the lower and maybe the lower rail system, but I just don't think I could bring myself to go that far with it. Any ideas of what else I could do aside from rail covers?

I have thought about the same thing. I have looked into aftermarket coatings. I think cerakote may have different colors. Its durable and I don't think it adds to the thickness of the material its applied to. But again I think it is baked on like powder coating. There are d.I.y. hydrographic kits available. Atacs cammo is an example but I wouldn't trust myself doing it. Though the cost of having it professionally done is quite high.
