Well I got a chance to take the ACR out to an "open to the public" rifle league at a local gun range (West Coast Armory in Bellevue, WA). It's a league with a regular core group of folks that set up different tactical scenarios in a 40'x40' bay at the range. This was my first time making the league but I've been itching to go for awhile.
So I grab my ACR and my Glock 17 (there's usually a pistol transition) and headed on over.
The reaction I got when i pulled out my ACR was awesome. First off... the RO gave me a hard time. He was planning on going to SHOT and chew out the Bushy folks that he's been running this league with 30+ guys every week and not once had he seen an ACR. Well I ruined his chance to bitch.
Second... while I'm looking at a ton of eye candy (decked out ARs, FN2000, Storm, P90, etc)... I get a ton of reaction about my ACR (coyote tan enhanced). I'm told by the end of the night that I have "by far the best rifle" in the room.
Now that makes a poppa proud!
