Has anybody here tried to relace the A2 birdcage on their 16.5" acr yet? I have an vltor and I don't know if I should put it on.

I see no reason why you would not be able to. I do not think there is any reason why you shouldn't. You can always put the A2 back on.

I swapped mine out for a YHM flash suppressor to go with my suppressor. Works like any other AR.

My Vltor is really tight going on, so I didn't push it. I guess I'll just add more elbow grease.

Make sure you degrease and clean the threads on the barrel really good first. That can make a big difference.

Yea just clean the threads, make sure to use a new crush washer/recessed washer and a decent barrel wrench and you'll be in business... If you want to put some GMD on the threads before hand that'll work too! Happy shooting
