About once a week I check the Bushmaster website and check for info update. I just clicked on the ACR info spot on the main page and instead of the usual 1st half of 2010 availibility info it has had there for a while it says "Forces of oposition, Bow down" and shows a countdown timer that is counting down from 6 days!! Could it be true?

The ACR will most likely be released at SHOT. This would make the most logical time to release it since you will have all the free industry press you can get.

I wish that the timer was for the actual release. I am willing to bet that this is simply a timer to shot show and then they will release more info there on the release, I predict 3rd quarter 2011, seems to be the trend. lol. I remember being at the same level of exitement back in shot show 2008, only to get my hopes crushed by more delays! Oh I wish I was wrong.

I don't think so. I think that Remington/Bushmaster are going to release it at SHOT. After all, you get a 5% discount on all firearms ordered there at SHOT. Besides there is no better place and time to release said firearm.
True, verry true, I hope your right, but it just seems like deshavu all over again from SHOT 08, bunch of hipe and excitement over the rifle only to give a vage release date of quarter 3 or something of 08, and here we are 2 years later....same level of hipe, just hope story doesnt repeat it self. I dont know how much longer I can be lead on by this rifle, I am almost about to buy a SCAR, now thats being desperate!

I really hope Remington did not buy AAC just so that they could put the "blackout fh" on the 'enhanced' version. ::)

The Bushmaster booth at SHOT was packed today but I spoke briefly to 2 reps (at different times in the day). The first guy gave a street date of March, the second said May. I promptly returned a question as to what year? Both said 2010.

Hard to tell when it will be in the channels... Bushmaster also had ACR's in both black and FDE whereas Remington only had FDE.
Any word if they are going to stick with the current pricing? I mean after all, all gun forums are rioting about the current ACR pricing. If I were BMs PR rep and hung around the forums a bit, I'd be worried, people are in complete awe due to the pricing!

Well see if you can still get us some pics!!! please...
