Its OK - its not as easy a release as you'd think.... Once you get the screw loose enough to drop down onto your rail, you then have to tighten the screw a bit before you throw the quick release lever - otherwise its still loose... and same applies for removal - the screw has to be loosened a bit to fully remove it - you could slide it off if the iron sights weren't in the way, but when do you not have iron backups in place...:rolleyes:

Yeah kinda different then what I thought too, but ultimately when I was at the gun shop the EoTech rep was in there and was showing me his 2 AR's he had his sites mounted on his rail, and it was the same thing - he even took it off his rail to put on my ACR to see how I felt about it... We had to go through all the same stuff from his to mine...

I'm fine with it - as you can co witness right through it, if the sight goes down / battery dies....

Eotechs are good sights, I have 2 of them. An old 511 (N cell) and a XPS2 without the QD mount. Very happy with both of them. My only problem now is as the years of wisdom are collecting on my body, my eyes anit what they used to be. So I have to wear glasses when using an Eotech or red dot to get a clear / crisp reticle. I was thinking about upgrading my older 511 to a newer EXPS but I may just buy another XPS if the QD mount isn't a true quick disconnect.

Thanks for heads up. I looked into Larue's and ADM's QD mount for the Eotech. Both look like they would work well. Only problem for me is that the raise the sight by 7mm and that will throw off my magnifier. Eventually I will buy a taller mount for my magnifier and the height will be a non issue.

Oh, so torn. Looked through the EXPS 2-0 and Aimpoint T-1 for the first time this weekend. Loved the small package of the T-1 but the EXPS just felt better to look through... Couldn't focus as well with the T-1.

Nice setup, BTW.

Def loving my XPS2 but perhaps when I get my second ACR to have a dedicated 7.62, if that scenario ever pans out...  I'll check out the Aimpoint stuff...

Why 2.0 MOA? The 4MOA model is really closer to 3.5MOA. A 2MOA dot is too small for quick shooting, and for bench shooting, there is no reason why you would be shooting a dot. If you feel like you need more precision, use the top of the dot as the aiming point and offset as required. That will bring you well below 1MOA. I nor the rifle can shoot that well offhand.

Why not 2MOA dot? That's what my COMP2's are. I prefer the 2MOA as I don't have a problem picking the dot up.

A 1MOA without the 65MOA ring might be a problem. I've deployed with, and shot them at various shooting schools. The Teams (were) issued the 2MOA dot and used them with great success. In fact, I had a buddy engage 580m silhouettes with his MK18 and Aimpoint on our 06' deployment and consistently dropped the silhouettes. The only way I could verify is by mounting my 14.5" upper with ACOG.

Like I said, I'd buy one if it came with a 2MOA dot.
