First post! excited to be a future acr'er, here's my q:

i unfortunately live in MA, where the AWB is still in effect... i see the Basic state compliant in black on the webpage, but does it also come in coyote brown?

As best as I can tell the answer is no. The only model number for state compliant ACR is (ACR SS 16M4 BP) (90720) according to the BM catalog. See the link below.

Duracoat/Cerakote is always an option. This way you can actually match it to the Magpul Flat Dark Earth. Granted you'd be in your ACR another $200-$300.

they are authorized dealers too, according to BM website. maybe i'll go check them out soon, a little south of me. im in burlington. i havent asked 4 seasons yet either though.

im in woburn i asked four seasons i got the run around from them for 3 weeks they kept telling me they cant get them they are not mass compliant if they could get them they would be $2500 now 3 weeks later four seasons has 2 on order they be in for 6-8 months but they are cheap selling for $1799

Just have a regular model (Basic or Enhanced) modified with the appropriate conversions by an intermediary FFL willing to do it (valkyrie-arms, etc). They'll put on bullet buttons, pin stocks, etc.

but that's the thing, it would cost more for all that custom stuff than buying the BSC model for the state of MA.

I almost bought that one at nshore firearms. I got mine at zero hour for $400 cheaper. those guys are awesome they do gun smith work too

True that. If you're not interested in the tril rail or folding stock (even pinned) and will stay pure basic then it's probably a better idea.
