All of the hand guards for the ACR free float the barrel. You can see it best with the Enhanced railed hand guard, but the two points of contact for the hand guard are at the front of the upper receiver (which over-hangs the barrel assembly) and the rear where the capture pin engages through the trunnion. That makes the hand guard secure very nicely, but no contact with the barrel.
All future hand guards that are being developed free-float as well.
