Curios to see if anyone here has tried the MFS Ammunition 223 Remington 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Zinc Plated Steel Case? I've seen some good deals online and have been tempted to buy a couple thousand rounds. Anybody have any experience with them?

MFS ammunition??

I must be living under a rock, never heard of it. Where have you seen online?

Zinc coated like the Silver Bear ammo. Hungarian so that seems like a new entry into the market. I'd be curious about this ammo for cheap fodder too.

Its on sale and seems like its aa good deal. Don't worry cjt I didn't hear about them till yesterday lol
Very reasonable, and I like the fact it's zinc coated like silver bear. I have had zero issues with silver bear, seems to be good to go stuff. Might have to give this stuff a try. Thanks for the heads up!! (I just bought a case of PMC bronze, so might be a month before I try it tho)

Well, I just had the oppurtunity to shoot 20 rounds of this stuff. (local store has 20 round boxes for sale) It cycled just fine and felt the same as silver bear ammo. However, at 50 yards it was all over the paper. Best group I got was 4 inchs. Same rifle shoots 1-1.5 inch groups with most everthing else. Just to be sure, I shot some PMC bronze after the MFS stuff and it was still normal. (1-1.5 inch group) Maybe it's just this particular rifle, but off the bench wasn't stellar grouping.

Good blasting / drill shooting ammo tho... (for me)

YMMV of course :)

I can't speak for their rifle ammo, but I'm leery.

A fellow deputy sheriff from the next county south of us had just gotten his newly issued Glock 21. They were on the range for quals. The SO missed out on the state bid stuff, so they went out to Cabelas and said "why not.". They got MFS. One deputy's gun EXPLODED with an unknown cause. I think the report back from Glock was to blame the ammo. The state police lab report is unknown to me, but I've heard "stay away from MFS" ever since.
