I hope this a true comparison, not one sponsored by the manufacturers on both sides. It looks like it might be. His videos remind me a lot like Nutnfancy's videos. However Nutnfancy tends to talk a bit more than this guy. I'll subscribe just to see the next couple videos.

Both rifles are really nice, I don't really get the whole which is better thing. I want to see a comparison focus on the differences and let people decide which works better for them. For some like me that just want something fun to take to the range, the torture tests and other stuff don't amount to much. I am interested in the accuracy tests though. Mine seems to be more accurate than I am and holds zero after barrel removal.

I would own them both if the SCAR was available in NJ. I do find it interesting that when I read posts here and elsewhere from people that own both, the vast majority like their ACR better and shoot it more.

Good review from MDShooters. Completely unbiased. I have some different opinions but that is what it is "an opinion". I'm glad there are updated comparisons now with the updated price.

+1, very fair review. Basically it comes down to a Ford / Chevy choice based on that review.

Love this review. Both are out of the box, both had realistic setups, and the author seemed to genuinely be undecided from start to finish.

He did make a nod to Magpul, but he also slammed 'em on the MBUS (couldn't agree more). So I don't think he's a total fanboy.

I loved what he said about the flash hider. I did exactly the same thing. --Put a PWS break on the ACR. Why not take the best of both?

Ah, my mistake. I think it is like the 3rd ACR thread in the last month over there, I stopped getting into them because it is the same arguments over and over again but the initial poster's review seemed fair. It did make me kind of want to get a muzzle brake.

Geezzz, the fellow from Maryland did the best writeup of ANY ACR/SCAR comparison I've read - PERIOD. His hard work was nit picked by guys who have little experience and for sure NO knowledge of the ACR - one "straight shooter" as touted by some of the ACR haters said the ACR upper and fore-end and rails on the Enhanced are plastic - whoa!: Like I will take their opinion to heart - these guys have never seen one much less shot one! Looks like these guys read too much or too little on the Internet but one thing is for sure: they are entrenched in their thoughts.
It is a good thing none of our enemies have SOCOM tested weapons - gonna make me stand tall in a gun fight!
I have in excess of 150 firearms. These Scientists of Firearms Technology have convinced me to trash all my non-SOCOM approved weapons. I must by some more trash barrels before Thursday...
(in my best Homer Simpson impersonation): Ummm....must buy S O C O M….must buy S O C O M, must bu......

Sorry for the rant - I feel much better now!

I think that they are both good weapons. However I believe the ACR to be the better of the 2 coming from an engineering standpoint. I also believe the charging handle on the SCAR to be limiting in both holding positions and field positions. Great videos. Keep them coming.

oh by the way... I don't know if anybody else saw this, but in one of his videos where he talks about which rifle he would first go to if he had to...out of the AR, SCAR and AK...the AK won. I find his review very objective.

This is killing me. Why is it nobody can lock the bolt back on the SCAR without removing their master (firing) grip? This guy didn't do it and the guy who wrote the article in Tactical Operator magazine comparing the ACR to the SCAR said you had to adjust your grip also. Ridiculous!

Not a SCAR fan, but just pointing out a flaw in their "observations". The SCAR's bolt CAN be locked to the rear without adjusting your firing grip.
