Had the oppurtunity to hit the range today and pop some pills down range. 200 rounds of PMC Bronze and 40 rounds of Silver Bear 55 grn FMJ. Everything cycled flawlessly! The PMC bronze gave me 1 inch groups off the bench using a HiLux CMR 1x - 4x, (set on 4x) I was really happy about the results. Silver bear opened up to just under 2 inches. All shooting was at 50 yards. (longest available)

Seemed like, (very subjective) the Silver Bear felt like it had more oomff then the PMC did. Very happy with todays range session.

Total round count including today is up to 3400 rounds.

LOL, could have been more, but the XCR (3220 total) needed some luv too :)

Ya' kno, both of these, (ACR / XCR) are very nice rifles. My poor SCAR is getting safe rash waitin' it's turn.

The XCR is a fine shooter. Very soft recoil once it's all broken in and you can dial the gas down a little. In SBR mode it's a really handy shooter too and it's still my go-to gun...though the ACR is quickly catching up. Once the factory support catches up it'll be the platform to beat.

Yeah, I wish BM would hurry up with this "catch up". I really want to purchase extra BCG's, barrels, trigger groups, etc.

Alright cjt, the Dillon spit out 1K of 55 grainers this week. So, I need you to NOT go to the range until I get a day off work to start catching up. :D :D

New bolt catch? Did you have the old style shaft or was there a problem with yours?
I have the new style, and it appears to have excess wear for only 3500 down the pipe. RA agreed and is sending a new one on their dime. However, I had already secured one from Kermit. (I'm amazed how fast he ships stuff) RA wants the older one back to do some hardness testing on it. The tech that reviewed the pictures was surprised at the amount of wear on it. Funny thing about it, the rifle would lock back on last shot 99% of the time, but would close on it's own when sitting on the bench untouched, (slip off BHO) kinda spooky :)

For those tuning in late, this is a very minor problem with a XCR, not ACR...

Yeah, Kermit is the secret to keeping an XCR happy. I ordered a new barrel for my Mini upper direct from RobArm and waited eight months. Called Kermit and had it in a couple weeks. Go figure.

I've got tons of rounds through my XCR's and I'll still need to keep them up and running but the ACR has been keeping my attention more.
