I was able to go to the range again today and fire 200 rounds thru my ACR, bringing the total round count to 3000.
I broke the rifle down as far as I could for a detailed cleaning and wanted to share some observations.
On the BCG, the is no adverse wear observed on any of the parts, to include the recoil spring / guide. Comparing the cam pin to a Colt AR15 cam pin that has only 1500 round on it, the ACR's pin had no wear or displaced metal, where the colt does. It appears only the finish has been worn off. In fact the only thing I have notices is minor finish wear where the parts actually slide against each other.
On the upper reciever, I do have very minor peaning at the ends of charging handle slot. Nothing that screams "problem." I do have some peaning in at the front of the ejection port and lower aft. Again, nothing that seems out of the ordinary for a rifle with 3000 rounds thru it. One thing I did find was 2 of the rail fastener on the left side of the rifle were loose. I torqued them down to 35 in/lbs and will check them after next range session. Everything else was tight.
On the barrel and gas system, I found nothing out of the ordinary. No signs of wear or damage of any kind.
Lower reciever and trigger group showed no real wear as well. However the buffer that is attached to the butt stock is loose, but still intact.
Overall, The rifle has held up well. In the 3000 rounds fired, I only suffered 2 stoppages, which were stove pipes. Both were cleared without issue and the rifle was placed right back into service. The fit of the upper / lower / handguard has loosed up alittle from it's unfired condition, but nothing of concern.
In conclusion, the rifle has held up well. It has maintained it's accuracy and has been a very reliable rifle. I have no regrets at all buying it and look forward to the next 3000 rounds of the same reliable service. Would I buy it again. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
