Here's a new rifle made by Adcor Defense. Some background on Adcor; they are a machining company and a few years back Colt asked Adcor to make some products for them because they were too backed up. The VP saw the design and made his own modifications to make it better and went into the market on their own. This rifle went through the HP White Laboratories tests and got zero stoppages and .88 MOA accuracy. This is the first time a rifle was submitted the first time through with zero stoppages. They make it in a complete rifle and upper receivers. Check it out!

Sounds like really neat mechanics. That test sounds really impressive. Someone put on their thinking cap for this one. I wonder how well it handles.

I've never been much of a fan of those folding charging handles, but it's neat that you can use either charging system. I'm not a great fan of the front sight either, but I guess there's always a flat top.

My buddy who is a Maryland State Police SWAT sniper recommended it to me. They host sniper competitions every year and Adcor is sponsoring this year. His squad got a tour of the plant and he just came back amazed. What he wants from them is a 308 variant. With that accuracy they could easily challenge Knights M110.

Sounds great. That's really what I'm considering right now. I'd especially like it of they cab keep the price point close to $2000 like the 5.56 version.

Seems like they might be the next up and coming manufacturer too. I'll be watching them.

That's a lot of moving parts begging for failure. Not to mention the inability to mount anything on the rail where the forward charging handle is located.

I'll stick to my 416 for a piston M4. Other than that, I'll go with a gun that was designed from the ground up as a piston gun.

Thought the same thing too but the tests say otherwise. Their 2 piece design is different from any other I've seen before. There is a thread on arfcom explaining the free floating barrel and 2 piece frame (every time I read through their threads I get frustrated with the hate and bickering). Adcor is to come
out with a 7.62x51 version late this year. I can invite them to talk about their system here if you would like. I'm sure they would not get the same responses like from arfcom but they might not join because of arfcom too.

I definitely applaud innovation. It's what makes us great. As easily as the system comes apart makes me wonder how easily those same parts will fail under hard use.

I just read the article David Fortier wrote on it in Shotgun News. That's also where I noticed how low the forward charging handle rides the side rail.

Also one of the many reasons I don't go to ARFcom anymore.
