So one of my favorite features i loved when i first saw the ACR was the dual charging handle

has anyone developed one yet or heard from Bushmaster wither or not they are going to produce one?

Has anyone thought about welding another charging handle on the other side? Don't know if it'll work. The original masada dual charging handles were more "square-ish", bigger, and stuck out longer. I hope some aftermarket company will make one before I start by own experiments.

It's designed to, is it broken?

First time I tried to do it, I had a heck of a time. Then I realized that the tab was slide back, not pushed down. (Pg40 of the manual, isn't really clear)

The Masada I saw didn't reciprocate. But I do remember Drake relating that since it had been shot a zillion times and some of the parts weren't production quality that it appeared that way.


The thing I'm wondering about is cutting a relief in the handle so that it won't bash into the receiver as much. Might work, might not, need to look at it.

I'm definitely glad they moved it forward from the original Masada design. Seems so natural and ergonomic where it's at now. It does need a cut/relief on the upper receiver, though

Hmmmm, well.....maybe it is broken. I can only say that you have to slide back and hold the tab from the top of the rail, while pulling the handle out from the side.. Believe it or not a bullet workes best.

I joined the forum because the directions wasn't clear and I called Bm and they basically restated what the book said so it was hardly helpful. I read it here and figured it out. Its been good here since thin. Welcome.

I have prints for such an item just not the time to get around to making any. I just hope that anything that one of those big manufacturers makes is not a carbon copy of my prints. I only let those out to 2 people with instructions not to share. This is next only my list after FAL Folding CH's.

The one I designed for the ACR is removable like the original ambidextrous and can be reconfigured so the folding part is angled in which direction you prefer
