i found these on bushmaster's site if you haven't seen them:

FAQ
Question:
I have read here that the ACR enhanced version will be available around May 1st. When will the 6.8 conversion be available? Will the ACR be chambered in the Remington 30 ar?
Answer:
The 6.8 SPC ACR will be available no later than the 3rd quarter of 2010.
Possible future caliber kits currently being explored are 6.5mm, 7.62 X 39 and 5.45 X 39.

Question:
Why does the ACR no longer have the ability to switch between 5.56 and 7.62 as previously reported?
Answer:
The initial offering is in 5.56/.223 then the 6.8 SPC will be added later this year and the 7.62 X 39 will be done the beginning of 2011. All those calibers will be interchangeable.

Question:
Where can I find the different caliber barrel/bolts for sale for the ACR?

Answer:
Other calibers for the ACR are not yet available. The 6.8 SPC will be the first different caliber offered and should be out in the next few months. That will be followed by 7.62x39.

Question:
Will the acr be available in 450 bushmaster or 30 remington ar? When will the acr be available in a caliber other than 5.56?

Answer:
We are currently working on ACRs in .450 Bushmaster, 7.62x39 and 6.8 SPC. The action is not long enough to accommodate the .30 Remington AR. We don't have a definite release date on these calibers yet but it shouldn't be long. Thank you for your inquiry.

I think you will, but waaay before that will be places like Delta Company. I am having a 300BLK ACR built there now.
This. Also, contacting bushmaster and telling them what you'd like to see (and having other people do it as well) is the best, fastest, and only way to get this stuff made. They need to know there's a real demand.

What's the best way to contact Bushmaster? Guys on the phone don't sound particularly interested... I'm imagining snail mail would be most effective?

Might be worth asking to speak to who's in charge of whoever you are speaking to over the phone at Bushmaster and let them know the way you are being treated is dissatisfying along with your original purpose for the call.

I wouldn't say I was exactly dissatisfied, just that the regular support lines, etc don't seem to be the proper place to make a suggestion that isn't going to go into the so-called circular file.
