Well I screwed up bad. I got my car while stationed in texas. I have since got off active duty and moved back to ny. So since texas sales tax is less than ny or I didn't have to pay it I have to pay the sales tax on the cars value. Whish is $1500plus then the tag and registration fees. I would be exempt if I were still active duty. Its my own fault for not looking into it.I think k paid like 450or so sales tax in tx but may have to pay the difference here. If they even count that cause it may be factored into the loan. Crappy deal it just stinks cause technically the tx bank owns it but I doubt I could reregister it there anyway witout an address there.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ill look into that. Maybe have the taxes factored into a new loan if need be. I forgot how ny was. I was so excited to come back. Another tour and staying in tx doesn't sem as bad anymore.
