    Threaded or Adapter

Since hunting with a suppressed rifle in legal in Az now Im looking to get a can for the ACR. What mounting option is better? One that threads directly to the barrel or one that uses a flash hider/brake adapter to attach to the barrel?

I would go with an adapter so that you can use a muzzle device when not shooting with the can. I recommend the AAC Brakeout 51t or 90T

I have a thread on can and would recommend a QD adapter. I am not getting rid of my can, but if I would do it again, I would go QD. I would also go 7.62 and not 5.56.

Qd is the way to go, you have more access to stuff when cleaning, and it helps when transporting the rifle. You also don't have to worry as much about the can backing off while shooting.

I would add that a AAC M4 2000 or YHM Titanium Phantom 5.56 would be perfect.

QD is obviously easier to deal with, but thread on tends to be cheaper, lighter, and quieter.

I'm new to the whole can aspect of shooting.

So as far as I can gather, a Quick detach is a better/more flexible option, but is generally more expensive?

Also, does the threaded barrel or QD flash hider have to be stamped? Can I get the barrel pinned with the AAC QD flash hider and then decide to go through the process of buying a stamp and a can later?

Also, I'm reading that it's easier in my state (FL) to apply for the stamp using a trust or corporation than as an individual. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The barrel itself requires no stamp. just a stamp on the suppressor. You can get whatever you want pinned and then worry about a can later. I would go QD with a rifle unless your just trying to save money and want to keep the can on the rifle for the majority of the time. I'm no expert on this stuff but this is just my opinion. Also a trust is awesome. there is a thread on here at the top of every forum (i think) that is about a trust service that a forum member offers. It is how I set up mine and is the cheapest option you will find. Other members will probably elaborate more for you...
