Anyone here have first hand experience with GA barrels? I'm interested in the 9.5" 300blk for my next build, which is roughly the same price as a 10.5" Ranier Ultra match (Shilen manufactured) barrel. I want a 9.5", so buying the 10.5" will cost $75 more to have it cut an inch.
By the way I know Griffin Armament has been playing in the silencer world for a while now with generally very positive feedback. Shilen barrels hold quite the positive reputation also.
Looking at the griffin, I'd say it probably is good to go versus the Rainier. I can't see there being a huge accuracy difference since they both are good builds. Personally I prefer the melonite on the griffin but the stainless should be good to go as well.
Is there a better option out there at this price point or lower that I should be looking at? DD/Noveske/Ranier etc?
I emailed Griffin, and there's a 15% mil discount so that helps quite a bit.
