Greetings;
I am new to this forum, this being my 2nd post; the first one was for some reason was removed.
How many forum members would be interested in a complete conversion kit in 762X39, 22-250,
50 Beo, 458 SOCOM. 450 Bushmaster, everything in the box ready to go. 6.5 Grendel 6.8 not offered
Built in California USA using Remington parts, Barrels to start, 12.5" to 18"
Yes I have been working slowly on the ACR project. I have put the 7.62 on the real slow list and
decided I really wanted a 6.5 Grendel.
So the Grendel is up and shooting, I changed the piston system slightly. I did away with the rod holder midway between the
Gas piston block and the end of the barrel (chamber end) On a 14.5 inch barrel the distance is about 9 inches long and does not need a support.
What the bracket does is a back stop for the piston spring.
On my ACR the hole the piston rod goes thru to touch the bolt carrier is machined
to take the end of the spring. you wonder why they machine a part and then do not use the ring they machined into the barrel receiver.
Check your ACR, looking from the barrel side toward the rear of the rifle & just above the hole that barrel fits in to, look for
a machined area around the hole. the spring fits there perfectly. So no push rod bracket, spring is seated over the push rod and pushed up against the barrel holder
add a spring stop on the rod with a 1/4" collar and a set screw. Bush it gently against the spring maybe 1/2" of tension and you have a piston system that does not need a
support bracket on the barrel. So far it works great. It also gives you an adjustment on the piston system in timing; by adjusting the set location of the collar. No tension on the spring will cause a short stroke.
Will send pictures
RussTBullet they go down the barrel ass-up & SDDuc996 are you some little punk guy making stupid remarks. You have been a member since Jun 2010, what have you done to help
members solve the issues with Bushmaster/Remington. You have a phone call them, did you go to the shoot off in Corona this weekend. ACR member could have confronted all the Bushmaster Reps all at once.
There are up-dates but I am tired of the wise as guys on this forum that have nothing to say but neg remarks
I do not hear, need any help or good job, just snide off the wall remarks that I guess makes these two guys feel good.
By the way I own an FFL dealership with a Ca Assault weapon Permit, that narrows it down to 31 non law enforcement individual in Ca. that have the permits. You will find no Bullet buttons on any of my firearms, how about you?
and I am able to produce what ever I wish.
Presently I have a 6.5 Grendel & a 7.62 shooting. The 6.5 is working great and the 7.62 is having slight feeding problems. We think we can solve this by changing the angles of the inside ridge
of the 2 feeding ramps. I work on this project because I enjoy making things
James no disrespect intended, but I have not seen you say anything about 300 blk. that's the caliber I'm really interest in. I would not turn down 7.62x39. with 300blk you only need a barrel.
I miss read the two post from these to members, once I noticed my mistake I deleted the post, I will send private message to both members and apologize properly James
What the hell did I just read. Did I just read you say that a 14.5 barrel has the gas system so close to the receiver you don't need the piston support??
yes, from what I see; in the ACR gas piston system is that they put the rod support bracket on the barrel for two reasons. One they needed a spring stop for the piston system. second they wanted to make it difficult
to make you own conversion kits. With out the bracket any AR15 barrel will just drop in. You only have to drill 3 holes into the barrel. One is an extra gas hole the piston system uses for suppressed barrels. When you move the
piston valve to the S position you are opening a 2nd gas hole. The other two are for mounting the Gas Piston housing on to the barrel. You do not have to have any machining done to a replacement barrel, just get rid of the
rod support bracket. I will try to get pictures today.
With no pics of the system without a support you are stating nothing. Prove you are actually producing anything by showing pictures.
Plenty here would buy conversion kits but with a BUNCH of vaporware all you have done is state you have produced a conversion with no proof.
Why the mystery on who you are? If you are one of 31 elite dealers in CA, post your business name. I am sure some will see it here and back up what kind of business you run.
Edit: This is probably the reason i have been receiving porn ads for a bigger cock for the last 3 weeks at my office... ive been getting at LEAST 1 - 2 a day... mabey i should remove my contact info from my signature. I cant image what my mail lady thinks lmfao
I was thinking the same thing. I've tried to hold my tongue the entire time this thread has been going on though. I was afraid he might quit on us if we were just complete assholes or tried calling him out. Unfortunately I always had a fishy feeling about this guy. Either he knows he's sunk and that he won't be getting his money from us anytime soon.... or he's real and has been busy at work on those kits and when he gets back he will be all sorts of pissed.... man, maybe we are just a bunch of assholes. Although, I like to think of myself as more of a waste removal orifice. Just sounds classier.
Well, I hope we're wrong about him too, but if you're a business guy trying to sell something, you want to fall over yourself getting images of your work out there. That's elementary. It's shady as hell that you'd string folks along this far without putting up. It's not hard.
Also, for the record, if English is his second language, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. His grammar seems perfect, concise and devoid of vernacular. It's definitely atypical.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
