    Disassembly of Mag Release

    Hi guys,

I currently have an assembled, black, lower receiver. My goal is to reassemble the components on an FDE lower because the rest of my gun is FDE.

I’ve taken out the trigger, bolt catch, and magazine button. All that remains is the magazine release. Does anyone know how to disassemble this component?

    Thanks.

It’s been awhile since I disassembled an ACR lower but I’m pretty sure if you tap out the pin noted in the pics, that will free you the mag release lever and spring. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing! Any idea on what to use to remove that pin? I've tried a narrow screwdriver and a detent. Neither work. That pin is in there pretty damn well.

Some pin punches from Midway or something might do the trick.

I busted out my Wheeler punch set yesterday and it looks like the 3/32 or 5/64 punch are sized right to get it outta there
