1. Got my barrel chopped to 14.5" and a BattleComp 1.5 pinned. This is my first sub 16" barrel and first experience with a compensator. It is awesome! Nearly zero muzzle flip. It is loud for anyone around though. I wore some 26NRR earplugs while firing still had some ringing at times. I doubled-up with earmuffs.

2. First Geissele trigger I've used/owned. It's the SD-3G. Very nice.

3. I've used a Slidefire stock on a friend's AR-15 before, but never even thought to try bumpfiring on anything else. So I tried it with the ACR with some Wolf .223. It sucked. Then I tried with some Federal XM193. The results were amazing.

Just got done inspecting my ACR after a class with Chris Costa. I cleaned and oiled my ACR the day before the class. In the 1700+ rounds I sent down range in 3 days, to include day 1 rain showers, I had 1 stove pipe. During the class all I did was load mags, no gun maintanence at all, and the only malfunction I had was 1 stove pipe on day 1. I even picked up discarded rounds covered in dirt, loaded those up into my pmags and ran them, no problems.

Once I got my rifle home I had to soak the gas selector key in cleaner before it would come loose, other than that, no other problems to report.

I did get some ribbing from chris on day 1 about my gun still running and a word of caution that ACR's don't like to run with the mag on the deck. After that though, everyone in the class was impressed with how my ACR ran during the class.

My ACR is a basic Tan, Battle Comp 2.0, with an EoTech. I'm ordering my Geissele trigger today.

I'll post pics later of ACR taken apart.

We also had a .45-70, Remington 700, AR15 (I think DPMS), several .22 rifles, several .22 pistols, a .44mag, S&W .500, my XDM 9mm, a few 1911s, a few other random pistols (don't remember haha) and a few different shotguns. We went through a few thousand rounds in total, put 300 rounds through my ACR.

Sometime in February I took a Paul Howe Rifle course with my Bushmaster ACR. I've had to have put in the ballpark of 7k rounds through the rifle just fine and as soon as I started the course, the rifle began to fail on me. Constant fail to ejects, causing stovepipes and some serious jams almost every 3 rounds.

Sent it back to Bushmaster and they replaced the extractor spring and "EJEC/SAFETY DETENT SPRING". I try to shoot it when I can but it still has the occasional hiccup, I'd say ever 35 to 40 rounds.

I purchased the Bushmaster ACR Basic Model and added the following:

Folding/Telescoping stock, EOTech optic, other furniture

Geissele Super ACR trigger

BattleComp 2.0

I'll contact Bushmaster again and try to get this damned thing to function again, though I can't help but wonder if it's the piston system or perhaps the BattleComp. Any thoughts?
Although I clean my ACR after every 500 rounds or so. Once BZO at 100 yards, the ACR was good to go especially with the trijicon acog. The addition of the battle comp made a big difference as well. Before I had a hard time shooting the ACR if it was not resting on the GSP bipod but not anymore. It was well worth it. Only thing left is cutting to 14.5" then fluting or dimpling, geisele super acr trigger, folding stock then I'm good to go.
