Does anyone know of an official answer from Bushmaster concerning this issue?

The gas block on my ACR also wiggles around the bore axis. I tightened the pins with moderate force, but there's still a little bit of movement. Is this normal for ACRs? Is it really beneficial for accuracy to keep it loose?
I found very contradictory opinions, here and on other forums.
How forcefully should the pins get hammered in?

Before I sent my rifle in for an overhaul the gas block was tight with no wiggle. When I got the rifle back after all the moving parts were replaced including the barrel and trunnion, the gas block was loose.

I shot it that way and it was fine, in fact it cycled 5.56 better than it ever had.

Bottom line, I dunno (shoulder shrug)
