    Cool 10.5" sbr acr!

    123
form 1 came in today =), barrel is a 1/7 noveske lightweight with the double chrome lining, the rifle is still heavy at 8 pounds unloaded with all the accessories on it. it shoots like a dream, and is much nicer than my old hk 416 10.5" rifle was with a can. i drilled and tapped a screw in the gas block to adjust as needed. i've fired over 100 rounds with zero malfunctions whatsoever, on "U" it fires great on semi, and on "S" it doesn't cycle until i screw on my M4-2000... this rifle is much quieter than my 416 was also

    Rifle specs are
    Enhanced Acr
Aimpoint Micro T-1 with Larue Tactical HK mount
    Troy Micro's
Surefire X300 with XT07 remote switch
    Surefire ladder rail covers
    Noveske 10.5" 1/7
    AAC 51t muzzle brake
    AAC M4-2000
Rock River Arms stage 2 nm trigger

The enhanced handguard looks like it fits the shorten gas system perfectly. Very nice looking setup and sounds like it's running fine.

I am assuming that you used your original gas block, etc to finish the build.

thanks guys, i used all the original parts from my 16" barrel, i only had to modify the op rod and gas block, the barrel was modified with a m4 cut to fit the op rod support and 2 slits were added for the taper pins

my barrel during the fitting process, i no longer use the quick disconnect because
    a. its unnecessary weight and i dont remove the barrel because of minor zero issues (grab and go gun)
    b. i dont have another barrel to add anyway
    c. the op rod support doesnt allow it lol so i just throw it in the rifle case and leave the allen screw in the rifle

So how much would you charge to do this on another noveske 10.5?

i could do this again but the problem would be that bm is going to release their 10.5's in the near future, if you would want one done i could talk to my machinist, its really not that hard of a conversion to do i wouldn't charge that much to do the work

if i were to do the work i'd need a carbine length barrel and complete acr barrel set

the cool part is i could do a 300blk barrel set since i can tune the gas port to whatever i want, when i tested mine i switched it to a bolt action to make sure the screw was sealed and tapped properly

I am assuming you removed the barrel locking lever once you have the barrel tighten down, yes?

More I look and read, sounds like you put alot of thought into this to make it a real workable solution. excellent work!!
