Is anyone else interested in an aluminum lower receiver besides myself.
i think i like the polymer...but i would like to see a few other parts switched to medal...like the selector and the plastic retaining piece in the trigger pack....
I want an AR pistol grip, trigger, etc.
i'd get an aluminum lower if there was one out but the stock grip feels fine for me, also i'm using my rra stage 2 nm trigger in my acr, it was the best 100 spent on it so far
Bigdog... can share the link or part number of that 2 stage trigger you're using in your ACR? Did you have to modify it or was a drop in replacement?
Don't want the extra weight or expense. I would stick with polymer for the foreseeable future.

There is a vid on youtube with a guy swapping his trigger pack. Everything has been drop-in so far that I've heard though you have to use the stock ACR hammer spring because it provides tension to the selector detent/disassembly tab.
I swapped mine but then swapped it back when it went back for the recall. Haven't gotten around to putting it back in there though I may wait and get a Geiselle.
As for the Al lower, maybe. But if/when it's released I'm seeing high $ for it. If they have a short basic handguard when the 10.5" barrels are released I'll be content.
ya i did the youtube vid on it, you have to use the acr hammer spring because it has a bend in it for the safety switch, everything else is straight drop in
